End of semester

Semester 1 had finally ended about 3 weeks ago. A 14-week per semester course is kinda fast, it's like in a blink of an eye, it's already exam (btw, my last EOS paper was Genetics and it was this morning). I think most of my course mates will back to their respective hometowns soon, leaving those KL ppl like me, nothing to do, aimless...Please don't tell me to start preparing for next semester's module, though i'll do so if i start vomiting for watching too many episodes of Tvb series.

For the past 16 weeks, many things had happened, things which are different from what i had gone thru last time. The most obvious one would be the learning process in university. At first, i seriously detest the idea of lectures. How one earth can we learn by watching slides and listening to high-speed/odd accent lectures alone? Tutorial sessions are just as bad. With approximately 300 students in the hall, how can we have Q&A session in a mere 1-hour time? Later, i realised it's all depends on US. When we have any uncertainties regarding the topics, we are supposed to approach the lecturers, though, they are usually MIA. Lecturers are there to be discussed with, not just passively accepting what they say. They don't teach, they guide!

Actually, i consider semester 1 to be a leisure one. The only hectic time i had was week-13 and 14, where we had to rush all the project works and presentation. Once the semester had ended, we focused on studying for the exam. However, i doubt the results would be as good as my class tests.

Besides, i met many new friends. The most unexpected thing is that i tag along very well with the Victorians. I heard their names occasionally during Form 6 period but never get to know them in person. Btw, they are often in scandals...hahaha

We did a small celebration on the 31st of October at Wai Fun and Li Xian's house in Vista C. The idea of having an early-lunch steamboat was a random one...hehehe

A very big THANK YOU to Wai Fun and Li Xian who went to Carrefour for all the grocery shopping, making the soup, doing most of the preparation and cleaning.
