Gong Xi Fa Cai

This Ox year is another year which i started off at my mom's hometown, or more commonly known to me as kampung. Due to a special occasion, my family and i had to stay at kampung till chor erm, the 5th day of Chinese New Year. Again, i missed the annual house raiding with my friends.

However, this was a fun CNY as we celebrated my maternal grandfather's 90th birthday. It was definitely a bliss to be able to celebrate birthday at this age and be healthy at the same time. My grandfather can still ride bicycle, cook and boil water using charcoal. He even know how to get to KL by express bus and then, getting a taxi from Puduraya to my house, without even calling us for direction. Very geng!!!
On chor sei morning, we had the cake-cutting session and tea-presenting session. My grandparents were so happy with so many relatives and especially, grandchildren attending the event. All of us wished my grandfather with all sorts of auspicious greetings during the tea-presenting and angpau-giving sessions. In the evening, we had a chinese-styled dinner at a nearby restaurant. I never know that my maternal side has such a large extended family as approximately 160 relatives turned up...
